Purpose of the role:

Sports Assistants are responsible for the day to day operations of the sports and wellbeing facilities in Cedars sports. This role is essential to maintining the best standard of our sports and wellbeing facilities, and supporting the wider team to provide activities and the highest standard of services to our members and their guests.

The role is 40 hours per week over 5 days - Monday to Sunday.

Role Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the operations of the sports facilities, following towel usage procedure, collecting deliveries, stocking retail areas, upkeep of changing rooms.
• Cleaning of courts, poolside and member facing areas.
• Pool testing and enforcing swimming timetable, potential for lifeguard cover if qualified.
• Deliver friendly, efficient customer service and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests
• Supporting reception team when needed, signing in members and assisting with their needs.
• Seek opportunities to deliver above and beyond, and promote other areas and services within the club
• Ensure compliance with the rules of the Clubhouses Health & Safety policy
• Attend statutory training and comply with health safety and fire procedures at all times

Minimum experience required:

• 18 years +
• Valid full UK drivers licence
• NPLQ qualification not needed, but willing to undertake training
• First aid training not needed, but willing to undertake training.
• Able to work shifts and weekends.
• Excellent communication skills
• Organised, adaptable and flexible 
• Exceptional attention to detail
